I have over 10 years of experience delivering psycho-educational groups and psychological therapy. My work has highlighted the importance of focusing on prevention, rather than treatment, of emotional and physical suffering by focusing on a number of simple, yet vital, strategies that we can often disconnect with when leading busy and demanding lives.
My passion is to spread awareness of key self-care approaches to help us not only prioritise our emotional well-being but to feel good about doing it too!
Workshops take place in a range of locations including Chalfont St Giles, Chalfont St Peter, Beaconsfield and Amersham. All locations are wheelchair-accessible and have parking on site and/or on public transport routes.

Pain Management Workshop
I have worked for 7 years in a chronic pain management team delivering groups and individual psychological therapy for people with long term pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and arthritis.
I have used this knowledge and experience to develop a workshop focused on teaching the key skills that help people to live well with chronic pain. Areas discussed include: pacing; sleep hygiene; exploring our emotional response to pain; and communication in addition to highlighting the importance of other factors such as diet and exercise. Skills taught are grounded in evidence-based theory. This means that studies have shown them to lead to improvements in people's quality of life.
This workshop takes place over 2 weekly sessions, each lasting 2.5 hours

Emotional Well-being Workshop

I have used this knowledge and experience to develop a workshop focused on teaching the key skills that help people to nurture themselves, prioritise their emotional well-being and thrive even when they lead busy and demanding lives.
Areas discussed include: what is stress?; the impact of stress on our bodies; identifying and connecting to our life values; practical strategies including sleep hygiene, diet, exercise and relaxation; and emotion-focused strategies to deal with difficult thoughts and feelings that may get in the way of moving our lives in valued directions.
Skills taught are grounded in evidence-based theory. This means that research has shown them to reduce emotional distress and suffering.
The workshop takes place over 2 sessions, each session lasting 2.5 hours
